Jimmy Garoppolo was on fire Sunday at home against the Tennessee Titans as the San Francisco 49ers won their third straight game. He has the 49ers singing his praises, and rightfully so. The franchise hasn’t had this kind of positive momentum since Colin Kaepernick started torching teams a few years back, before Jim Harbaugh left the fold. On Sunday against Tennessee, Garoppolo completed 31-of-43 passes (72 percent) for 381 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions. Even better, the 49ers scored on seven of their eight opportunities in the game, winning on a last-second field goal by Robbie Gould. After the game, Titans cornerback Brice McCain threw some shade Garoppolo’s way. Taking a note out of Jadeveon Clowney’s book (in reference to Blake Bortles, who torched the Houston Texans Sunday), McCain said Garoppolo “didn’t do anything special.”
