The Detroit Tigers have signed veteran left-handed pitcher Francisco Liriano, according to FanRag Sports. Liriano, 34, has spent parts of 12 seasons in the big leagues, including seven with the Minnesota Twins under new Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire. Liriano struggled with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2017, going 6-7 with a 5.66 ERA. He was dealt to the Houston Astros at the trade deadline, where he worked exclusively out of the bullpen. Liriano has a 102-99 record in his career and was American League Rookie of the Year in 2006.
