The Tigers have set their asking price for Matthew Boyd.
Detroit is believed to be looking for "multiple impact prospects" in exchange for the 28-year-old starter, similar to what the White Sox received from the Cubs for Jose Quintana," according to MLB.com.
The White Sox sent Quintana to the Cubs in July 2017 and received two top-100 prospects, including outfielder Eloy Jimenez, and two other players in return.
Boyd is in the middle of a career season and holds a 5-6 record with a 3.72 ERA in 17 starts so far in 2019. He has struck out 129 and walked 20 in 101 2/3 innings pitched.
