Tigers center fielder Austin Jackson went 2-for-5 Thursday in the third game of his rehabilitation assignment with the Triple A Toledo Mud Hens. Jackson, who had been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a hamstring injury, had two singles and scored a run in Toledo’s 9-7 victory over Syracuse, the Washington Nationals’ Triple A affiliate. He struck out in his first at-bat as the Mud Hens leadoff hitter. He grounded out and popped out in his other plate appearances. In three games, Jackson is hitting .231 (3-for-13) with an RBI. He’s struck out five times.
