Sam Presti can’t stop hoarding draft picks. Now, the Oklahoma City Thunder are looking to deal veteran center Steven Adams and newly-acquired wing Kelly Oubre Jr. for more draft capital, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
“The Oklahoma City Thunder, who just acquired Kelly Oubre Jr., is looking to flip him for a first-round pick,” Scotto noted.
“Executives believe the Thunder will continue to explore the trade market on their veterans, including Steven Adams. With Al Horford reportedly on his way to the Thunder, Adams could be on the move sooner than later.”
The Thunder acquired Oubre Jr. on Monday from the Phoenix Suns—along with Ricky Rubio, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque, and a protected first-round pick—in exchange for All-Star point guard Chris Paul and Abdul Nader.
Oubre Jr. had the best season of his career in 2019-20.
