Three-star running back Mon Denson of Lagrange (Ga.) High School committed to South Carolina on Tuesday. The 6'0, 214-pound prospect chose the Gamecocks over 16 other offers, including North Carolina, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Kansas State, and West Virginia. Denson picked up an offer from South Carolina at the Gamecock Showcase event over the weekend of July 25; it didn't take him long to accept. Denson becomes the second running back to commit to the Gamecocks during the 2015 cycle. Three-star running back AJ Turner of Clifton, Va. committed to South Carolina on July 10. In the video above, Denson confirms that he was told South Carolina only planned to take two running backs this cycle.
