Three Texas Longhorns players will not participate in the Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl next week while serving suspensions, coach Tom Herman announced Friday. Texas freshman running back Toneil Carter, junior tight end Garrett Gray and sophomore receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey have been suspended from the game for a violation of team rules, Herman said. Humphrey is the team's second-leading receiver with 37 catches for 431 yards and a touchdown while appearing in all 12 games this season. Carter, who appeared in nine games, is the team's fourth-leading rusher with 263 yards and three touchdowns. Gray, who appeared in two games this season, caught four passes for 18 yards.
