The Washington Wizards have been featured in big moves already over the last year. They could continue to make NBA blockbuster deals if they want to move toward a rebuild. This would not be one of those moves but it would give them an intriguing player to develop moving forward.

Washington sent John Wall to the Houston Rockets prior to the start of the regular season. In return, they landed Russell Westbrook. He created a dynamic duo on the backcourt, along with Bradley Beal, and the team was able to return to the postseason.

This was a huge step forward but the Wizards are still far away from competing in any form for a title. John Wall being traded was a big step toward a rebuild and Bradley Beal could be next.

As for the Orlando Magic, they decided to sell at the NBA trade deadline. The season got away from Orlando early and this is when they made the decision to send away their big-name players.

Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon, and Evan Fournier were all moved in the middle of the season. The Magic still have plenty of moves to make and in this one, they would give a player a change of scenery.

These are two of the worst run franchises in the league over the years. It will be interesting to see the two sides get together for a trade such as this one. Let’s take a look at an NBA trade scenario centered around Mo Bamba that would land him with the Washington Wizards.

Washington Wizards Receive: C Mo Bamba

Orlando Magic Receive: C Thomas Bryant and 2022 first-round pick (top 5 protected)

Mo Bamba is a former lottery pick of the Magic. He struggled with injuries early on and could not get his career off the ground. Bamba has began staying on the floor bit more consistently and could still benefit from a change of scenery. This is what he would get in a trade such as this one.

Orlando collect squeeze out any value left surrounding Bamba. If they were to send him to Washington, they might be able to get a first-round pick next year’s draft. If this is the return, the Magic should jump at the possibility.
