The father of Sacramento Kings big man Marvin Bagley III recently made waves on social media after publicly requesting a trade for his son. This came following the team’s second consecutive loss against the Houston Rockets en route to a 3-3 record.
Bagley III only saw limited action on the floor but still managed to come out with a near double-double performance of 12 points and nine rebounds along with two assists through 25 minutes played.
Apparently, it wasn’t the first time that Bagley Jr. expressed his dissatisfaction with the Kings organization, as told by The Athletic‘s Jason Jones. Back when his son was selected with the second overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, the team’s front office promised that the rookie will be a starter by the All-Star break after being sidelined with a knee injury.
