Liverpool CEO Peter Moore is pushing for the club to sign Victor Osimhen from Lille this summer.
That’s according to RAI Sport journalist Ciro Venerato, who has provided another update on the striker’s situation today.
Osimhen has been heavily linked with a move away from Napoli this summer after scoring 18 goals and registering six assists in all competitions for the French side this season.
Napoli are chief among his suitors and appeared to have a deal lined up before Osimhen’s decision to change agent led to the move being held up.
Since then, there have been numerous rumours about an attempt from Liverpool, who have also been linked for several months, to hijack the deal.
Several reports over the last week or so have indicated that Osimhen’s new agent, William D’Avila, is attempting to push a move to the Premier League and has thus been in contact with the likes of Liverpool to try and work something out.
Venerato – who has been the source of a slew of information about Osimhen’s move this summer – backs up this notion but says Moore is also pushing things from Anfield.
