The New York Yankees entered the 2019 season with tremendously high hopes and expectations, with many MLB pundits penning them as World Series favorites.
However, the team was hit with a veritable bubonic plague, as they currently have the equivalent of a full starting roster on the injured list. Giancarlo Stanton, Luis Severino, Miguel Andujar, and the list goes on and on.
As a result, the Bronx Bombers hold a lackluster 6-9 record despite playing eminently winnable series against the likes of the Baltimore Orioles, Detroit Tigers, and now the Chicago White Sox. As of tonight, they're officially on the wrong side of history after losing to the South Siders.
