The United States, Mexico, and Canada are set to host the 2026 Fifa World Cup, with the final to be played in the United States. Once a front-runner to host the final, Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles is now in jeopardy of coming up short on its bid.

Concern from Fifa over the dimensions of the field at SoFi Stadium is the primary reason the game might be played elsewhere. Fifa deemed the field too narrow to meet the global soccer organization’s requirements.

Not only is the field not up to par, but Fifa has an attendance minimum for the World Cup final that SoFi Stadium is currently not meeting.
