Ostensibly, the Raiders signed running back Marshawn Lynch to help them win football games. But on Thursday night, he did something that could have played a significant factor in the Raiders losing a must-win contest. And he did it because he was keen to help a player on the opposing team. And after he did it, he went AWOL. It was a bizarre, almost unfathomable situation, and the intent behind it doesn’t matter. Lynch ran onto the field in the second quarter of Thursday’s Raiders-Chiefs game and pushed an official out of the way to pull Kansas City cornerback Marcus Peters, who Lynch considers a little brother, out of a fracas with the Raiders’ offensive line after Peters put a late hit on Raiders injured quarterback Derek Carr.
