After a shocking season-opening loss to the Maryland Terrapins, the Texas Longhorns are trying to stop the bleeding. According to Anwar Richardson of OrangeBloods, Longhorns players held a players-only meeting after the defeat as they tried to pick up the pieces. Texas had high expectations under new coach Tom Herman and found themselves ranked in the top 25, but they more or less demonstrated that their ranking was premature. Fans were extremely unhappy with the performance as well. It’s not too late for Texas to take a step forward this season, but they clearly have to move past a very bad start.
