Vanderbilt inside linebacker Oren Burks had a lot of nice things to say Saturday about the player he replaced last season, Zach Cunningham. Cunningham was the Texans’ second-round pick who enjoyed a splendid rookie season. “That dude, he worked his butt off,” Burks said at the combine. “It’s definitely a testament to him putting the work in while he was at Vanderbilt. “When I made that transition to inside, I watched a lot of his film. It was a good visual key to what I could do in the game because he’s a very similar body type, that type of thing. I really look up to that guy. “He’s like a brother to me.” Even though Burks was learning a new position at Vanderbilt, he found time to keep up with Cunningham.
