The Houston Texans are locking up linebacker Brian Cushing for the long haul. Cushing and the Texans have agreed on the terms of a long-term contract extension a league source tells PFT. Although Cushing was entering the final season of the five-year contract he signed as the Texans’ first-round draft pick in 2009 he won’t test free agency. Instead he’ll be a building block in Houston’s defense for years to come.
