Another young Winnipeg Jets’ Russian prospect is bolting to play in his homeland. Ivan Telegin a fourth round pick (101st overall) of the Atlanta Thrashers in 2010 has been suspended by the Jets for failing to report to the St. John’s IceCaps of the American Hockey League and is believed to be seeking somewhere else to play. Although Telegin would probably like to play in the Kontinental Hockey League the NHL has an agreement that is supposed to prevent players under contract ito NHL clubs from doing so. Telegin 21 was limited to only 34 games with the IceCaps last season because of a concussion he sustained in January and recorded three goals and 10 points. Telegin also missed Jets’ development camp the previous summer with a mysterious hand injury that was never really fully explained.
