The attempted carjacking of Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson last summer is now back in the news.
Appearing in D.C. Superior Court on Monday, an unnamed 15-year-old teenager admitted that he shot Robinson during the failed carjacking on Aug. 28. “I was trying to get the man’s Hellcat. I wasn’t thinking. It was wrong,” the teen said, via The Washington Post.
A third-round pick out of Alabama last year, Robinson was shot just above the knee and in his hip area. In a shocking recovery, the young man was able to return and make his NFL debut with Washington back in Week 5. He performed extremely well in 12 games.
