There have been some rumors recently that Tennessee is interested in hiring USC offensive coordinator Tee Martin to be its next head coach. On Friday night following USC’s victory over Stanford in the Pac-12 Championship Game, Martin was asked about those rumors. Martin said he has not been contacted by Tennessee at this time and that his focus is on USC. However, he also noted he’d reconsider if the Volunteers were interested in his services, per Adam Maya of Rivals.com. Tennessee and Martin seems to be a natural fit. He was the starting quarterback for the Vols during their 1998 championship season and has proven himself to be a terrific offensive-minded coach.
