The TCU football program gained commitments from two high school linemen Sunday. Munday defensive end L.J. Collier and Pearland offensive tackle Ryan Griswold gave pledges to coach Gary Patterson, bringing TCU’s commitments, including two junior college signees, to 16. TCU’s high pedigree of defensive ends was a selling point for Colliier, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound speed rusher. Collier cited the work ethic instilled by the TCU coaches in practice, he said. “They are going to push you and make a man out of you,” he said. Collier has been recruited for a while by new TCU co-offensive coordinator Sonny Cumbie, hired in mid-December from Texas Tech. Collier held an offer from Texas Tech, but chose to follow Cumbie to TCU. Griswold had been committed to Boise State before settling on TCU this weekend. Both players took official visits to Fort Worth over the weekend.
