Carlos Marmol's first save Sunday came at an opportune time. Had Marmol blown the game for Jeff Samardzija, it would've been difficult for him to regain the confidence of skeptical Cubs fans. "It's not going to happen all year long," Marlon Byrd said of the back-to-back blown games by the Cubs' bullpen. "It's two losses, and a lot of people look at it as 'Here we go again.' But we're a better team than that. We're going to be fine." Manager Dale Sveum remains in Marmol's corner, and he's really the only one who matters once the game begins.
