Carlos Marmol has been on the Cubs longer than any other pitcher, turns 30 in October and will earn $9.8 million next season. Despite those obstacles, manager Dale Sveum said Marmol is considered part of the future and should be back in 2013. "I don't see why not right now," Sveum said. "Knock on wood, he's been as good as anyone in baseball since he's been back in the closer's role and the save opportunities he's had."
