On Friday, it was announced that Missouri guard Terrence Phillips was suspended indefinitely. And on Sunday we may have gotten some insight as to why. Missouri has opened a Title IX investigation regarding Phillips, according to a report from Ashley Jost of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The office is in charge of investigating sexual violence on campus as well as issues of sex discrimination. Per the report, Missouri was notified on the investigation on Friday morning, which was prior to the team announcing Phillips’ suspension.
