Jason Spezza is going to get his chance to take on the world. The Senators centre hasn't formally been invited to play for Team Canada, but GM David Nonis is expected to make a phone call in the next couple of days to invite Spezza to represent his country this month in Slovakia. Spezza, who has suited up for Canada in the 2008 and '09 worlds, said he's excited about the opportunity and is looking forward to extending his hockey season with the Senators out of the playoffs. "They usually wait until the end," said Spezza Wednesday. "I've heard some rumblings I'll probably be going, but I haven't heard from anybody directly. "They have to make up their minds on who they're taking and who they're not taking. I don't think they want some guys to know and then other guys wondering if they're going to be going." Spezza said it would be a good challenge. "You have different roles. Everybody is asked to play a little bit less and a little bit better," said Spezza. "You go out there and you try to bond as quick as you can in a short period of time.
