Eagles defensive end Trent Cole underwent wrist surgery this week and could miss some of spring camps, league sources have confirmed to CSNPhilly.com. Cole’s procedure was minor and he should be fully recovered by training camp. Cole, a two-time Pro Bowl defensive end, had just three sacks last year. The Eagles haven’t released any information about Cole’s surgery. USA Today first reported the news. This year’s spring camps will be important given the team’s expected defensive scheme switch from a 4-3 to a 3-4 under new coach Chip Kelly. Cole, a fifth-round pick in 2005, is likely headed for a position switch to rush outside linebacker.
