The Cubs will use their first three games in an American League park this season to rest Alfonso Soriano's left knee — and perhaps continue to showcase him — as a designated hitter. "It will help me rest my knee," Soriano said. "I will take the three days and enjoy it. After that, I want to get back to playing the outfield." Manager Dale Sveum says the visit to the Twins' Target Field in Minneapolis "is coming at the right time. It's hard to give him days off and, to his credit, he doesn't want days off."
