This is a polarizing issue when you head coach is telling you he doesn’t think it is appropriate and the owner is on record saying the anthem isn’t the time nor place to protest if you do it you are taking a risk. Cowboys players have been hearing what is being said about them. That they are puppets or just property and they are frustrated about it because they do care about social issues. They want to protest but they are hesitant. There isn’t a team consensus so while there have been reports denying that the team is putting pressure on them not to protest, I can confidently say those reports are false. Once Cowboys player told me that he just doesn’t want to go it alone and hopes others get involved so he can feel safe. It isn’t a direct threat by the team, but when Dez said he had to feed his family, that wasn’t out of the blue.
