Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits he is not ‘100 per cent sure’ struggling Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez will rediscover his form upon his return from injury.
The Chile international suffered knee ligament damage in United’s Premier League victory over Southampton last weekend and is set for a lengthy stint in the treatment room.
Solskjaer hopes Sanchez will be able to return in about a month, when United begin a period which sees them face the likes of Everton, Manchester City and Chelsea.
But Manchester United’s caretaker boss has revealed his fears over Sanchez’s return, admitting he is unsure whether he will be able to rediscover his form at the end of the season.
‘Alexis is coming back on Sunday,’ Solskjaer said on Friday morning. ‘He’s not been on grass yet.
‘He’s been seeing his people in Barcelona… he’s still a few weeks away so if we get to round about Everton, City, Chelsea… in that period he’ll probably be available.’
