As the Philadelphia 76ers prepare for the Brooklyn Nets in Round 1 of the 2019 NBA Playoffs, owner Josh Harris addressed the media pregame on Saturday to speak on the state of the team.
The Sixers finished the regular season with a 51-31 record and are in position to compete for a championship. Two of the reasons why the Sixers are in this position are Tobias Harris and Jimmy Butler.
Those are two high-profile players who happen to be free agents this offseason, and owner Harris is ready to keep them around for a long time.
“I’m hopeful that they will be playing with us for a long, long time,” he said before tip-off.
Now, the Sixers have some unfinished business to take care of on the court before they get to any offseason ideas and Harris understands that.
