The 76ers have fined center Amir Johnson for using his cell phone during Saturday's playoff game against the Nets.
Philadelphia announced that it fined Johnson for conduct detrimental to the team for using his cell phone on the bench during the Sixers' 111–102 loss in the first-round playoff matchup.
"I take full responsibility and will accept the consequences of my actions. I also apologize to my teammates, the 76ers organization and the fans for the distraction this has caused," Johnson said in a statement, per The Athletic's Shams Charania.
During the game, Johnson and Joel Embiid were caught on the television broadcast looking at a message on the center's phone during a break on the bench.
