Last season was a particularly tough one for Elton Brand. No, he didn't perform poorly on the court, in fact, far from it. Brand led the Sixers in scoring and rebounding in 2010-11 in what could be termed as a bounce-back season following three years of fighting injuries. Since 2008, Brand has ruptured his Achilles, had shoulder surgery and dislocated a couple fingers. Oh sure, injuries still gave Brand fits during the last month of the season, too. In the season's waning stretch, Brand had a stomach virus, a dislocated finger on his left hand and a broken right hand — the one he shoots with.
