Shohei Ohtani teamed up with Mike Trout and Tommy La Stella to belt back-to-back-to-back home runs in Saturday night’s win over the Seattle Mariners, and Ohtani gave little flex after hitting his solo shot. That type of celebration seemed a bit uncharacteristic for the 24-year-old, but he had a good explanation.

After the game, Ohtani told reporters he wanted to show Kole Calhoun that he has “some pop too” after Calhoun flexed following one of his homers recently.

Ohtani’s home run certainly was a showcase of power, as it was a towering fly ball to the opposite field.
