Shawn Tolleson has had bad luck pitching in Peoria this spring. On Friday afternoon against the Padres, Tolleson left the game in the sixth inning after getting hit in his right elbow by a line drive off the bat of Anthony Bass. Tolleson was pitching his second inning of work on Friday when Bass, a pitcher, lined a pitch off Tolleson and into left center field for a base hit. After a visit from trainers and the coaching staff at the mound, Tolleson exited the game. Luckily for Tolleson, he appeared to be okay in the locker room after exiting the game, telling Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times, "It should be fine." In addition, no x-rays are planned, per Ken Gurnick of It is the second time in 11 days Tolleson has left a game against the Padres in Peoria with an injury.
