Sharks rookie Tomas Hertl has been medically cleared to return to game action, and will play n on Friday night vs. Colorado, a source has told Two independent doctors have cleared him -- Dr. Mark Saffron at Stanford, and Dr. Anthony Miniaci, based out of Cleveland, OH. Miniaci performed the surgery to repair the PCL and MCL ligaments in Hertl's right knee on Dec. 31. The 20-year-old forward has not played since Dec. 19, when he suffered the injury on a hit by the Kings’ Dustin Brown. In 35 games, Hertl has 15 goals and 10 assists for 25 points, playing primarily on the left wing of Joe Thornton and Brent Burns.
