Minister for Sport Vincenzo Spadafora has given the all-clear for Serie A fixtures to resume, but will ask Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte for permission to make it June 13 rather than 20.

This evening’s videoconference meeting was decisive, involving Spadafora, the Lega Serie A, Players’ Association, FIGC and Association of Italian Sports Medics.

Serie A shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic, with the last game played on March 9.

There are still four outstanding matches from Week 25 that were postponed and should be the first on the calendar for the resumption on June 13.

The games are Atalanta-Sassuolo, Inter-Sampdoria, Torino-Parma and Verona-Cagliari.

The rest of the teams can then start up again with Week 27 fixtures from June 20.
