The trades keep coming. The Ottawa Senators acquired 23-year-old defenceman Ville Pokka from the Chicago Blackhawks organization Thursday in exchange for forward Chris DiDomenico. Pokka, who had scored four goals and 18 assists in 46 games with the Blackhawks’ American Hockey League affiliate in Rockford, was drafted 34th overall by the New York Islanders in 2012. He has a two-way contract that pays him $200,000 in the AHL and is due to become a restricted free agent at the end of this season. He was assigned to the Senators’ AHL affiliate in Belleville. DiDomenico, whose hopes of an NHL career were resurrected by the Senators last season, has split 2017-18 between the Senators and Belleville.
