The Ottawa Senators have offered defenceman Chris Phillips a two-year contract extension. The two sides have still not agreed on a deal according to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun. Phillips, 35, has appeared in 52 games with the Senators this season, scoring one goal and 12 assists. He is in the final year of a three-year, $9.25 million contract and was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.
