Bobby Ryan wants to set the record straight. He isn't going to try to fill Daniel Alfredsson's skates. Dealt here from the Anaheim Ducks in a deal that sent top prospects Jakob Silfverberg and Stefan Noesen along with a first-round pick to the West, the four-time 30-goal scorer was excited but wanted to temper expectations a little bit. "When I first got the call and somebody mentioned (replacing Alfredsson) to me, I thought 'Oh God, how do you do that and how do you step into that role.' I don't think Daniel Alfredsson is ever going to be replaced," said Ryan Friday night. "I'm not going to try to do that. What I'm going to do is come and play the style of game that I'm accustomed to playing and score some goals. I want to bring my 'A' game every night. It's kind of a turnover day in the franchise and I got lucky enough to come under the radar.
