Oklahoma will honor the Selmon brothers — key players of its teams from the early 1970s — with a statue.

Plans were revealed Friday night during festivities marking the 50th anniversary of the classic 1971 game between Oklahoma and Nebraska, known as the Game of the Century. The two former bitter rivals met Saturday for the first time since 2010, with Oklahoma winning 23-16.

Lucious, Dewey and Lee Roy Selmon all were All-America selections for Oklahoma at least one season.
