Brooklyn’s Sebastian Telfair caused a stir on Twitter Friday when the free-agent point guard seemed to indicate he was going to play for his hometown team. Friday Telfair tweeted, “I’m headed home!!!!’’ While a source said the tweet wasn’t about basketball, it did seem curious. Agent Andy Miller told The Post he had spoken to the Knicks and said of Telfair, “He certainly would consider the Knicks strongly.’’ The Knicks are still trying to sign another point guard for the veteran’s minimum contract to go along with Raymond Felton and Pablo Prigioni, and have spoken to Telfair on the phone after free agency began on Monday, which is not often the case for free-agent targets. The cousin of Stephon Marbury could thrive at the Garden as he enters his ninth season, having played 59 games last season for the Suns and Raptors.
