Claude Noel is shuffling his lineup in an effort to get the Winnipeg Jets back in the win column. Based on Sunday’s game-day skate in advance of a matchup with the New Jersey Devils at MTS Centre (7 p.m. TSN-Jets/TSN 1290) the Jets coach will continue with some line juggling that began late in Friday’s 4-1 loss to the Dallas Stars moving Evander Kane up to the top unit with Bryan Little and Blake Wheeler shuffling Andrew Ladd to a trio that features Mark Scheifele and Michael Frolik and then having Olli Jokinen centering Eric Tangradi and Devin Setoguchi. The fourth line has Jim Slater between James Wright at Matt Halischuk. "It’s the way we ended last game to a degree so we’ll just see if we can try and get some things started as far as our team play goes and I think we have to play better in a general sense" said Noel Sunday. "Do the lines do that because of the changes? We’ll see." "When you’re struggling to score goals as a group sometimes that’s necessary" added Kane of the line changes. "But you never know with the way things seem to work out if you’re going to play with those guys the whole game or two shifts. I guess that will be determined on how things go and what the coach sees. "We’re going to have to come out with a lot more energy off the start. Trying to get that first goal would be big for us and try to play with a lead a little bit more than we have in these last five games. The games we’ve won we’ve had the lead and we’ve sat back and let teams come back and make it close. We need to continue to pressure and be aggressive regardless of the score is going to be important for us." As well veteran Al Montoya will make his first start in goal of the 2013-14 season as the Jets now 2-3 after dropping three straight attempt to keep the Devils – who are 0-2-3 – winless.
