Adam Schefter reports that the Seahawks are signing LB Mychal Kendricks to a one-year contract following his visit with the team on Thursday.
According to Schefter, the Seahawks plan to have Kendricks suit up for their Week 2 matchup against the Bears.
Kendricks pleaded guilty to insider trading charges last week and is facing up to 25 years in prison. However, Schefter says that he isn’t expected to be sentenced until January 24 and he may only face 30-37 months in prison.
Ian Rapoport says that the NFL has yet to rule on Kendricks’ case, but a decision could come quickly now that his case has been resolved in court.
