The Seattle Seahawks have a great foundation to build upon heading into the 2023 off-season. After shocking everyone with their performance during the 2022 season, they are now in a position to upgrade the roster and push closer to the top of the NFC next season.

A lot of their time this offseason should be focused on improving the defense. Seattle could use one more pass rusher to go with the young emerging players they have. That would benefit the secondary as well, as an improved pass rush makes life easier for everyone on that side of the ball.

Armed with four picks in the first two rounds of the 2023 NFL Draft, courtesy of the Denver Broncos from the Russell Wilson trade, it would not be surprising if a lot of the attention is on defense with those picks. If the Seahawks can bolster that unit and get it performing near the level of the offense, they are going to be tough to beat.

The offensive performance in 2022 came out of nowhere. Everyone counted out Geno Smith, who responded with a Pro Bowl season and took home Comeback Player of the Year. With all of the key weapons returning, the Seahawks should once again be productive on that side of the ball.
