Bellevue police officers are investigating Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch after receiving an “allegation of an assault and personal property damage” at a Bellevue apartment, according to a news release from the department. According to police, the alleged incident was reported to have occurred early Sunday morning, but “no domestic violence or sexual assault was involved in the allegation.” Bellevue police have assigned the case to a detective and it is under investigation. “The Bellevue Police Department is in the process of gathering the facts of this alleged incident, including verifying whether or not Mr. Lynch was in fact involved,” the statement read in part. “No arrests have been made. There is no further information available at this time.” Lynch, 28, has had a string of run-ins with the law enforcement since entering the NFL as a first-round pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2007, the first of which came when his driver’s license was revoked in January 2008 following a hit-and-run incident in Buffalo.
