Germans cannot find the cash to sign Ivorian forward. Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04 look unable to afford unwanted Tottenham Hotspur front man Emmanuel Adebayor before the summer transfer window closes on Sept 2 according to reports in the Daily Mail. The Ivory Coast international has already been informed by Tottenham head coach Andre Villas-Boas that he no longer had a future in north London this season despite only arriving at White Hart Lane on a permanent deal worth £5 million from Manchester City last August. However the 29-year-old managed to register a disappointing eight goals and two assists in his 32 matches in total in all competitions for Spurs last time out including just five goals in his 24 Premier League outings.
