Chicago White Sox left-handed pitcher Hector Santiago will get a spot start on Wednesday against the Cleveland Indians, manager Robin Ventura said on Tuesday. Santiago will start in place of Jake Peavy, who along with the rest of the rotation, gets an extra day between starts. The Sox are set up for the crucial final few games of the season against Cleveland and the Tampa Bay Rays with Peavy on Thursday, Jose Quintana on Friday and then most likely Gavin Floyd followed by Chris Sale. "Most of this is getting the guys an extra day," Ventura said. "Even watching Chris (Sale) (on Monday), he is at a different point than he has been at during his career. When we got him an extra day he has come back stronger."
