To cap off a busy day, San Jose Sharks general manager Doug Wilson has signed goaltender Zach Sawchenko to a two-year, entry-level contract.

The undrafted 23-year-old has worked his way up through the system, signing a two-year AHL contract with the San Jose Barracuda on March 29, 2019. Prior to his professional career, Sawchenko played four years with the Moosejaw Warriors of the WHL, where he was teammates with Sharks forward Noah Gregor and prospect Jayden Halbgewachs, and two seasons with the University of Alberta.
