Auburn junior WR Sammie Coates will forgo his final season of eligibility and enter the 2015 NFL Draft, according to 247sports.com. Coates will also accept an invitation to participate in the 2015 Senior Bowl, according to the report. Coates is currently rated as the No. 40 overall prospect in the 2015 class by NFLDraftScout.com and the No. 7 wide receiver. He has struggled with inconsistency, but his athletic skill set, which will shine during the pre-draft process, could elevate him into the first round on draft day. Tigers junior WR D'haquille Williams, Auburn's leading receiver this season, is also considering the NFL, but is undecided. He is considered a potential top-10 receiver as well. A physical specimen, Coates has the size (6-feet-2, 201 pounds) and speed (expected to run in the 4.3 range) to be a mismatch nightmare downfield. He has room to improve the details of the position, including his route running and how to use his body to leverage defenders.
