Two of the most-prolific football players to have recently come out of the state of California, Sam Darnold and Christian McCaffrey, are now teammates together in the NFL on the Carolina Panthers. And the process of the two becoming acclimated with one another on the field began last week in the Golden State.

In a blurb by NBC Sports' Peter King, it was reported that Sam Darnold and Christian McCaffrey worked out in Southern California last week. Darnold, a former star quarterback for the USC Trojans, was traded to the Panthers earlier in April and became teammates with McCaffrey, a former Heisman Trophy finalist at Stanford.

Darnold and McCaffrey's workout began the process of the two becoming acquainted with each other, as McCaffrey is the most valuable skill player that Darnold will have at his disposal in Carolina's offense.
