Without going into much detail about the news that newly reinstated New Orleans Saints Sean Payton had fired defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo and defensive backs coach Ken Flajole, Saints cornerback Jabari Greer praised his former coordinator. Reached by email moments after the Saints announced the dismissal of the two defensive coaches, who just completed their first seasons with the Saints, Greer simply said he wished the Spagnuolo well in the future. "In the NFL, there is no such thing as a surprise move, no matter the defense we play," Greer said. "I know we are all anxious to get back to work. "Spags was a good coach, and an even better man," Greer said. "I am thankful to have had the opportunity to have played for a man of such strong faith, and wish him well in all that he does."
